By utilizing the links to schedule an appointment, you have two options.

What about emergencies? Every client of Watson Law has Linda’s personal cell phone. You never have to worry about how to handle bruises on your child, DCFS at your door, or a tug of war over the children on a weekend after hours. If it’s an emergency, you have Linda’s private cell phone number, so you don’t have to guess because Linda will guide you through it.

The best way to utilize that is:

  1. Be sure it’s an emergency
  2. Text Linda the following:
    1. Your Full Name (or) Case #
    2. Brief description as to what the problem is.

She will either quickly text you, call you, or return the message as soon as she is available to guide you through the problem.

You know, once you have made your appointment with either the attorney or your paralegal regarding an issue that’s pending or a concern that you have, or the next steps of your case, it is important that you think carefully about what you want to accomplish from for that. Meeting. Remember that Watson Law sells their time and their expertise. So, if you have made an appointment with us and you have reserved an hour of our time. You are going to get our expertise on whatever is pressing with your case. That means you need to be prepared. If you have bruises on a child that you want to discuss with Linda, then you should send an advance a summary of what you know about the bruise and a picture if you have questions regarding your discovery and how to answer your interrogatories or response to requests to produce. Then you should have highlighted the questions that you have, questions on how to answer, and a draft of how you want to answer. So, when you meet with the paralegal, she can articulate to you why your answer is or is not appropriate. You need to think in advance what you want to accomplish with the time that you are paying for. To move your case forward in the most expeditious and valuable way possible.

If you’re meeting with the attorney and it’s regarding a specific incident of concern, you of course will want to provide her with a summary of the date that it happened, who was there, your knowledge of how it occurred and photographs of whatever the issue is. For example, if it’s bruising, you’re going to want to provide photographs of the initial bruise and as it gets older it blooms into bright purple and then as it fades into yellow. You’re going to want to provide all those photographs to the attorney and you’re going to want to document it.

It’s important to remember that we are a professional office and what we sell is our time. So, it’s important that you write down your questions and make sure that they are all answered with the time that you have reserved for your case and your issues. If there is a question or something that the legal team needs to follow up on, it’s important that you get on somebody’s calendar to have the follow up question resolved. Be an advocate for your case, because we are advocates for you.
